    Short Bio of Warren Buffett

    Warren Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska born August 30, 1930, the second children of Leila and Howard Buffett who was a congressman. Warren Buffett began his education at Rose Hill Elementary School in Omaha & attended Alice Deal Junior High School. In 1942 he moved to Washington, D.C with his family as his father was elected to the first of four terms in the United States Congress.

    He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1947. Buffett wanted to skip college and wanted to go directly into business. After finishing high school and finding success with his side entrepreneurial and investment ventures he got the idea of entering business directly but was overruled by his father.

    Buffett has an interest in business and investing at a young age. At the age of seven, Buffett was inspired by a book One Thousand Ways to Make $1000 which he borrowed from the public library of Omaha. His first business ventures were sold chewing gum, Coca-Cola bottles, and weekly magazines door to door. He worked in his grandfather grocery store still in his high school to earn money. In 1944 he filled his first income tax return, Buffett took a $35 deduction for the use of his bicycle and watch on his paper route.
